BUYING CLUBS

In a typical buying club, farmers consolidate orders from a number of customers and deliver them to a central location, typically a customer's home. If you want to join a buying club in your area, contact the appropriate people below:

Asgard Farm is currently seeking hosts (individuals or existing CSAs) in the Winston-Salem, Asheville and Greensboro areas to establish local buying clubs; please call or e-mail for information.

EssentiallyOrganic2, based in Elizabeth City, NC, offers grassfed beef and free-range chickens and eggs, along with other items such as honey, fish, vegetables, baked goods, etc.

They provide two deliveries per month; the first to host homes, and the second at a Farmer's Festival where members get to meet their suppliers, ask questions, make special orders, taste the food, and generally make a family day of it. The Farmers Festivals will run through December, but the host homes will continue through the winter months, with an additional host home pickup taking the place of the Farmers Festival. Franchesca's Dawn Farm has buying club delivery routes to Midlothian, Richmond, Williamsburg, Newport News, Hampton, and Norfolk in Virginia and Greensboro, Raleigh, Winston-Salem and Durham in North Carolina.
